Megan is a dedicated and experienced personal trainer, who understands the motivational and behavioural changes required for people to achieve their goals.

Megan is an international level powerlifter, having competed for Australia at the 2012 and 2014 Oceania Championships and the 2015 and 2017 World Championships. After seven years away from the competitive platform, she will compete again at the World Master Championships in October 2025, in Cape Town, South Africa.

Megan is a registered Personal Trainer and Powerlifting Coach and holds a current Senior First Aid Certificate. Her qualifications include Certificate III in Fitness – Group Fitness Instructor, Certificate IV in Fitness – Personal Trainer, THUMP Advanced Boxing Instructor, Powerlifting Coach, certified Metabolic Nutritionist (MP level 1) and MP Certificate in Advanced Supplementation.

Out of the gym Megan loves to be outdoors hiking or running, spending time with her husband Pete and their dog Sam, as well as catching up with family and friends. Megan is also fond of a good book and is quite partial to a karaoke party.

Sam is the four-legged face of Thrive Personal Training and possibly the only trainer on staff who accepts snacks as payment. With a coat as sleek as his cardio game and a bark that says “drop and give me ten,” Sam brings boundless energy and charm to every workout session. Don't be fooled by his pint-sized stature — this miniature schnauzer runs a tight ship when it comes to hustle, hydration, and high fives (or paw-fives, as he prefers).

Sam's daily duties include greeting clients with a wagging tail, demonstrating impeccable downward dog technique, and keeping spirits high during even the sweatiest HIIT circuits. Clients often say their motivation spikes just by catching his approving woof mid burpee. Rumour has it he once broke up a lazy stretch session just by side-eyeing someone’s half-hearted lunge. He’s fluffy, he’s fearless, and he’s all about that personal best.

As Thrive’s pint-sized powerhouse, Sam proves that strength comes in all sizes. He reminds us that consistency, enthusiasm, and a little playful mischief are the real keys to fitness success.
