Instructions

Using a squat rack, position the bar inline with your upper chest. Stand in a shoulder-width stance with your feet pointed out. Hold the bar with an underhand grip with the bar sitting across your shoulders with your hands shoulder width apart. Your palms will be facing upward toward the ceiling and your fingers will be underneath the barbell (against your shoulders).

Keeping your core braced, descend with control until your thighs are just past parallel to the floor. Ascend by extending your knees and hips until your legs are straight.

Tips

Your ability to hold a front rack position comfortably depends on mobility and strength of the upper body. If this position is to challenging you can try the crossed arms grip.
