Instructions

Tie a theraband to a pole, at approximately waist height, so that the lengths of each end of the band are even.

Bend your elbows and arms back so that they are at a 90 degree angle. From that position, press the band up overhead, straightening your elbows and bringing your hands close together. Bring back down to the start position and repeat.

Tips

The band will want to bring your arms forward, so you will need to work to keep them back. Ensure that your back muscles stay engaged and not shrugging your shoulders. The purpose of this exercise is to work the shoulder stabiliser muscles.
