Instructions

Lie on an incline bench, take a shoulder width, or slightly wider overhand grip on the bar and position your feet flat on the floor. Arch your lower back and squeeze your shoulder blades together, pushing your chest out. Take the bar off the rack and position it inline with your upper chest. Lower the weight until it touches your chest. Press the bar up until your arms are fully extended.

Tips

The higher the incline, the more this exercise will work your upper chest and shoulders. To maintain a strong upper back position, focus on pushing your chest out through the whole movement. Only arch your back as much as you feel comfortable. The purpose of the arch is to create a tight back position.
