Instructions
Stand side on to a bench or high step. Place the closest foot on the bench, with the other foot on the ground. Stand up onto the step by pushing yourself up with the leg that is on the bench. Stand tall at the top of the movement, with the leg on the bench now straight. Reverse back down until the foot that is off the bench is back on the ground. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Tips
If the bench height is too high for you to control your step-up, place a weight plate or a smaller step to the side to step down onto. Do not compensate the movement by pushing off with the foot that is on the floor.
