Tomorrow will mark three weeks since I competed at the Classic Powerlifting World Championships in Salo, Finland. Wow. How time really does fly! Competing on the World stage been a dream of mine since taking up the sport and it is an experience I will cherish forever. Meeting, lifting beside, and watching the world's best lifters has now sparked a stronger desire in me to become a better lifter. I love this sport, and watching and talking to other lifters has given me greater motivation to be the best possible lifter I can be.
Three weeks ago I had the privilege once again to compete at the Australian Powerlifting Championships. The last few years I have really enjoyed competing at this competition as it is a great event to catch-up with all of my powerlifting friends from across Australia.
It's been two and half weeks since I competed at the 2015 Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, Ohio, USA. It was a turbulent trip away with some great highs and some personal lows. But all in all, it was a wonderful experience.

Like most people, I love listening to music while I train. During my powerlifting sessions, I listen to a lot of rap and metal music. The word 'prehab' may sound like something reserved only for athletes, but it's actually something everyone should be doing - regardless of your training goals or fitness levels. To me, prehab incorporates stretching, foam rolling, trigger point work (such as lying on a cricket ball), physio and massage, all for the purpose of preventing injuries and the need for rehabilitation.
