I love food. Some of my most memorable experiences revolve around having a great meal. When my husband and I reminisce about our past holidays, the conversation inevitably turns to the great meals we have had on our trips. Food plays an important part in my life and not just in the experience of it, but also its role in fuelling my body for optimal health and sports performance.

Exercise with a Fun Purpose

Lifting weights for hours each day is pretty easy for me. Not easy in terms of actually doing it (sometimes it takes my whole physical and mental strength to get the work done) but in just getting myself in to the gym to do my session. I never give myself the option of not doing it, it just doesn't enter my mind. I enjoy lifting. But doing anything cardio related, that is a whole other story!

2015 Powerlifting World Championships

Tomorrow will mark three weeks since I competed at the Classic Powerlifting World Championships in Salo, Finland. Wow. How time really does fly! Competing on the World stage been a dream of mine since taking up the sport and it is an experience I will cherish forever. Meeting, lifting beside, and watching the world's best lifters has now sparked a stronger desire in me to become a better lifter. I love this sport, and watching and talking to other lifters has given me greater motivation to be the best possible lifter I can be.

Berry Omelette Recipe

I love omelettes. I have at-least one every day, sometimes two! I love both savoury and sweet ones. You name the fruit or vegetable and I could almost guarantee you that it could go in an omelette! Using a mixture of a full egg and egg whites, omelettes can be a nutritious high protein, low fat meal.
